Step 1: is your yard one lawn, or several?
Before any acreage math, walk your property with one question: can a knee-high robot drive from every patch of grass to every other patch without a human carrying it? Fences with closed gates, stairs, curbs, and paved runs it shouldn't cross all split "a yard" into "zones."
