Fit check
What to verify before buying
Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ is a $2,600 mower rated for 0.5 acres, 45% slopes, and 20 mapped zones. MowScout does not yet have a separate source-verified daily coverage figure for this model. Treat those as fit limits, not marketing decoration: mowable grass, wet turns, separate zones, and spring growth should all leave enough headroom for the mower to run without repeated rescues.
Navigation is RTK and drive is RWD. This model avoids a separate antenna requirement, which lowers one common setup hurdle, but dock location, mapping quality, and first-week no-go-zone tuning still matter. Basic obstacle handling can help with larger objects, but buyers should still clean up hoses, toys, branches, and repeated stuck points before relying on an automated schedule. If your hardest constraint is slope or rough turf, compare the terrain guide; if setup simplicity is the priority, compare similar no-wire picks before choosing by price.
Before checkout, confirm the exact SKU, included dock or base hardware, return window, warranty path, and current price at one of the listed retailers: Husqvarna, Amazon, Acme Tools. Robot mower bundles change quickly, so the retailer page should match this review's capacity, model name, and last-verified source trail.
In the current catalog, this model sits in the premium price tier with 18 other verified mowers nearby. Its rough price-per-rated-acre is $5,200, which is useful when comparing against a larger mower that may look expensive upfront but cheaper per acre. ECOVACS GOAT A3000 LiDAR PRO is the closest lower-priced comparison point at $2,500.
The capacity math is pending source verification beyond its 0.5 acres max-area rating. That matters when the lawn is close to the published limit, because a mower that can only cover the whole yard under ideal conditions has less margin after rain delays, fast spring growth, dull blades, or separated zones. If your measured turf is close to 0.5 acres, compare Mammotion LUBA 3 AWD 3000H for more headroom before buying.
The tags attached to this record are dealer support, wire-free Husqvarna, half acre, reliability. Use those as a sanity check: if your yard does not match at least two of those tags, the MowScout Score is less important than fit. A high-scoring mower in the wrong category still creates rescue trips, missed strips, and support friction.
Its current MowScout Score is 62, which should be read beside the hard specs rather than treated as a standalone verdict. The strongest reasons to keep this mower on a shortlist are its RTKnavigation, RWD drive, 45% slope rating, and 20zone support. The biggest reason to remove it is any yard fact that directly conflicts with those numbers.
Cutting fit is also specific: this deck is 9.4 inches wide and adjusts from 1 to 4 inches. Edge behavior is rated "ok", so expect some trim work around fences, walls, beds, curbs, and tight hardscape. That is normal for robot mowers, but it matters more if your lawn has a lot of border length relative to open grass.
Ownership details point to 4 years of warranty coverage, app quality rated 4out of 5, connectivity through wifi, bt, 4g, 62 dB of listed noise, and 38 lb of chassis weight. Those are practical details for storage, night schedules, support expectations, and whether the mower will be easy to lift, clean, or move between areas.
The source trail for this record was last checked on 2026-09-13 and includes Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ product page (US), Husqvarna Automower 410iQ/420iQ/440iQ operator's manual, Acme Tools Husqvarna Automower 410iQ listing, Amazon Husqvarna Automower 410iQ listing. Use those sources to resolve any mismatch between this review, a retailer title, and a bundled accessory listing. If the source page changes the area rating, slope rating, included hardware, or warranty terms, update the shortlist before clicking through. Keep a screenshot of the retailer specs for returns.
Score breakdown
The Automower 410 iQ is the smallest of Husqvarna's wire-free iQ Automowers: the same EPOS satellite navigation, 45% slope rating, 9.4-inch deck and 4-year US warranty as the 420 iQ, sized for half an acre. On paper that makes it the sensible entry point into a dealer-backed Husqvarna without a boundary wire. The catch is price. At the time of writing the one-acre 420 iQ sells at Husqvarna dealers for about what the 410 iQ costs on Husqvarna's own store, which is why the 410 iQ's Value pillar, and with it the overall MowScout Score, lands well below its bigger sibling. This is a data-driven review, not a hands-on one: MowScout scores are computed from verified manufacturer and retailer specifications. We have not run this unit ourselves.
### MowScout Score: 62/100 — Best for a small, open lawn when you can buy it well below the 420 iQ The verdict, in three lines: The 410 iQ is a genuine wire-free Husqvarna with the brand's dealer network, a 4-year warranty and a rain-or-shine rating, sized for up to half an acre. It shares the 420 iQ's limits: rear-wheel drive, radar-only obstacle detection, and satellite navigation that needs open sky. And at current prices the 420 iQ gives you twice the rated area for about the same money, so buy the 410 iQ only when it is clearly cheaper. Reasons to buy / reasons to skip
Reasons to buy
- ✅ Wire-free Husqvarna. EPOS draws boundaries and no-go zones in software, so there is no perimeter wire to trench and re-routing a flowerbed is an app edit. Where Husqvarna Cloud reaches, there's no reference station to install either.
- ✅ A 4-year US warranty and a dealer network. The longest warranty term in our catalog, shared with the 420 iQ, and dealers who can install and service the machine.
- ✅ Rated to operate rain or shine. Husqvarna explicitly rates the iQ line for wet conditions, which many rivals do not.
- ✅ Useful cut range. 1.0 to 4.0 inches covers low cool-season turf and tall warm-season grass alike.
Reasons to skip
- ❌ The 420 iQ costs about the same right now. Twice the rated area for similar money makes the bigger model the default choice.
- ❌ Rear-wheel drive. Capable to 45% on dry ground, with less wet-slope margin than all-wheel-drive rivals.
- ❌ Radar-only obstacle detection. It avoids objects with onboard radar rather than recognizing what they are the way AI-vision rivals do.
- ❌ Needs open sky. EPOS is a satellite system; dense canopy degrades it and there is no LiDAR or camera fallback.
The weighted scorecard
The MowScout Score is computed from verified specs across seven weighted pillars (see how we score). Here is where the 410 iQ's points come from, as of September 2026.
| Pillar | Score | Why it lands here |
|---|---|---|
| Navigation reliability | 16 / 25 | EPOS RTK holds precise, repeatable boundaries on open ground. It is a single-layer, sky-dependent system, and obstacle handling is basic radar rather than AI vision. |
| Terrain capability | 10 / 20 | A 45% slope rating (about 15% at a boundary) is good for the class; rear-wheel drive caps the traction bonus. |
| Coverage & speed | 6 / 15 | Half an acre is a small-lot rating, and Husqvarna publishes no separate daily-coverage figure, so the speed component scores neutral. |
| Setup & ease | 14 / 15 | No wire to bury, and where Husqvarna Cloud is available no reference station to install either; elsewhere you site the included station under open sky. |
| Cutting quality & edges | 7 / 10 | A wide 1.0–4.0-inch height range and an "ok" edge rating on a narrow 9.4-inch deck. |
| Value | 4 / 10 | A premium list price for half an acre, with no discount. The 420 iQ scores 9 here because about the same money buys twice the area. |
| Reliability & support | 5 / 5 | Full marks: a 4-year warranty, broad retail and service, and Husqvarna's long track record. |
| Total | 62 / 100 | A well-supported wire-free Husqvarna held back by its price per acre. |
410 iQ vs 420 iQ: the decision that matters
The two iQ models are close to identical where it counts for most yards: the same EPOS navigation, the same 45% slope rating on rear-wheel drive, the same 9.4-inch deck and 1.0–4.0-inch cut, radar obstacle detection, 4G anti-theft, and a 4-year warranty. The difference is capacity. Husqvarna rates the 410 iQ for 0.5 acre when it mows in EPOS's systematic pattern (0.25 acre in random mode), against a full acre for the 420 iQ.
That would normally make the 410 iQ the budget pick. It isn't today, because the 420 iQ's dealer street price has fallen to about the 410 iQ's MSRP. When both cost about the same, the 420 iQ's extra rated area is free, and it is the headroom you want: a mower running near its limit has no slack for slopes, obstacles, or a fast-growing spring lawn. Our rule of thumb is to buy a rating about 15% above your measured lawn, which puts the 410 iQ at lawns up to roughly 0.4 acre.
So the 410 iQ makes sense in one situation: you can buy it clearly below the 420 iQ, through a dealer promotion or an install bundle, and your lawn is comfortably under half an acre. Otherwise, read our 420 iQ review, which also covers how EPOS works in detail.
What you give up versus newer rivals
Like the 420 iQ, the 410 iQ trades raw capability for Husqvarna's ecosystem. Rivals at or below its price bring all-wheel drive, AI-vision obstacle recognition, or LiDAR navigation that does not need open sky. If your priority is capability per dollar on a small lawn, compare it with the antenna-free Navimow i215 LiDAR for shade, or the all-wheel-drive LUBA mini 2 AWD for steep ground. If you specifically want a Husqvarna, a dealer who will install and service it, and the longest warranty we track, the iQ line is the reason to pay more.
Spec conflicts we found
Husqvarna's own documents disagree on two figures. The US product page lists 38 lb and 62 dB(A); the operator's manual lists 41 lb and 58 dB(A). We use the product-page figures, matching our 420 iQ data. The operator's manual lists up to 20 work areas and secondary areas.

FAQ
What is the difference between the Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ and 420 iQ? Mostly capacity. Both are wire-free iQ Automowers with EPOS navigation, a 45% slope rating on rear-wheel drive, a 9.4-inch deck cutting 1 to 4 inches, radar obstacle detection and a 4-year US warranty. The 410 iQ is rated for half an acre and the 420 iQ for a full acre. At current prices the 420 iQ sells for about the same at dealers as the 410 iQ on Husqvarna's store, so most buyers get double the area for the same money with the 420 iQ.
Is the Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ wire-free? Yes. EPOS draws the boundaries in software, so there is no perimeter wire. Where Husqvarna Cloud correction is available there's no reference station to install; elsewhere, the included station needs open sky. For a heavily shaded lot, a LiDAR or vision mower is the better fit.
Can the Husqvarna 410 iQ mow in the rain? Husqvarna rates the iQ line to operate rain or shine, and we list the 410 iQ as wet-grass capable. It is rear-wheel drive, so leave extra slope headroom when the grass is wet.
Who should buy the 410 iQ instead of the 420 iQ? A buyer who can get it clearly cheaper than the 420 iQ and whose lawn is comfortably under half an acre. At similar prices, the 420 iQ's extra capacity is free headroom.

Buyer questions
FAQ
What is the difference between the Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ and 420 iQ?
Mostly capacity. Both are wire-free iQ Automowers that navigate with Husqvarna's EPOS satellite system, climb a 45% slope on rear-wheel drive, cut 1 to 4 inches with a 9.4-inch deck, use radar obstacle detection, and carry a 4-year US warranty. The 410 iQ is rated for half an acre (0.25 acre if it mows randomly rather than in EPOS's systematic pattern); the 420 iQ is rated for a full acre. At current prices the 420 iQ sells for about the same at Husqvarna dealers as the 410 iQ does on Husqvarna's own store, so most buyers get double the area for the same money by choosing the 420 iQ.
Is the Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ wire-free?
Yes. The 410 iQ draws its boundaries in software with EPOS, Husqvarna's RTK satellite navigation, so there is no perimeter wire to bury. Where Husqvarna Cloud correction is available, there's nothing else to install; elsewhere, you set up the included reference station where it has an open view of the sky. Either way EPOS is a satellite system, so heavy tree cover or a yard hemmed in by buildings weakens the fix; for a shaded lot, a LiDAR or vision mower is the better tool.
Can the Husqvarna 410 iQ mow in the rain?
Husqvarna says the iQ Automowers are built to operate rain or shine, and we list the 410 iQ as wet-grass capable on that basis. It is still rear-wheel drive, so on a wet slope it has less traction margin than an all-wheel-drive mower; treat its 45% slope rating as a dry-condition ceiling.
Who should buy the 410 iQ instead of the 420 iQ?
Mainly a buyer who can get the 410 iQ meaningfully cheaper than the 420 iQ, for example through a dealer promotion or bundled installation, and whose lawn is comfortably under half an acre. If the two sell for similar money, the 420 iQ's extra capacity costs nothing and leaves headroom for slopes, obstacles and fast spring growth.
Is the Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ good for slopes?
It is rated for slopes up to 45%, but wet grass, rough terrain, and boundary placement can reduce real-world confidence.
Does the Automower 410 iQ need boundary wire?
No. This model uses wire-free navigation.
