Fit check
What to verify before buying
ANTHBOT M9 is a $699 mower rated for 0.25 acres, 45% slopes, and 20 mapped zones. MowScout does not yet have a separate source-verified daily coverage figure for this model. Treat those as fit limits, not marketing decoration: mowable grass, wet turns, separate zones, and spring growth should all leave enough headroom for the mower to run without repeated rescues.
Navigation is hybrid and drive is RWD. This model avoids a separate antenna requirement, which lowers one common setup hurdle, but dock location, mapping quality, and first-week no-go-zone tuning still matter. AI vision obstacle avoidance is useful around toys, furniture, pets, and landscaping clutter, but it should be treated as a risk reducer rather than a safety guarantee. If your hardest constraint is slope or rough turf, compare the terrain guide; if setup simplicity is the priority, compare similar no-wire picks before choosing by price.
Before checkout, confirm the exact SKU, included dock or base hardware, return window, warranty path, and current price at one of the listed retailers: ANTHBOT, Amazon. Robot mower bundles change quickly, so the retailer page should match this review's capacity, model name, and last-verified source trail.
In the current catalog, this model sits in the budget price tier with 3 other verified mowers nearby. Its rough price-per-rated-acre is $2,796, which is useful when comparing against a larger mower that may look expensive upfront but cheaper per acre. WORX Landroid M WR147 is the closest lower-priced comparison point at $600.
The capacity math is pending source verification beyond its 0.25 acres max-area rating. That matters when the lawn is close to the published limit, because a mower that can only cover the whole yard under ideal conditions has less margin after rain delays, fast spring growth, dull blades, or separated zones. If your measured turf is close to 0.25 acres, compare eufy Robot Lawn Mower E18 for more headroom before buying.
The tags attached to this record are budget, small yards, open sky, new-wave brands. Use those as a sanity check: if your yard does not match at least two of those tags, the MowScout Score is less important than fit. A high-scoring mower in the wrong category still creates rescue trips, missed strips, and support friction.
Its current MowScout Score is 75, which should be read beside the hard specs rather than treated as a standalone verdict. The strongest reasons to keep this mower on a shortlist are its hybridnavigation, RWD drive, 45% slope rating, and 20zone support. The biggest reason to remove it is any yard fact that directly conflicts with those numbers.
Cutting fit is also specific: this deck is 7.9 inches wide and adjusts from 1.18 to 2.76 inches. Edge behavior is rated "ok", so expect some trim work around fences, walls, beds, curbs, and tight hardscape. That is normal for robot mowers, but it matters more if your lawn has a lot of border length relative to open grass.
Ownership details point to 3 years of warranty coverage, app quality rated 3out of 5, connectivity through 4g, 58 dB of listed noise, and an unpublished weight of chassis weight. Those are practical details for storage, night schedules, support expectations, and whether the mower will be easy to lift, clean, or move between areas.
The source trail for this record was last checked on 2026-09-13 and includes ANTHBOT M9 product page (US store), ANTHBOT Warranty Statement (US), ANTHBOT Where to Buy, Amazon ANTHBOT M9 listing (bare unit). Use those sources to resolve any mismatch between this review, a retailer title, and a bundled accessory listing. If the source page changes the area rating, slope rating, included hardware, or warranty terms, update the shortlist before clicking through. Keep a screenshot of the retailer specs for returns.
Score breakdown
The ANTHBOT M9 is the most aggressive value play in our catalog: RTK satellite positioning backed by two AI cameras, a built-in 4G module for network RTK and GPS tracking, up to 20 mapping zones and a 3-year warranty on the mower, at a September 2026 sale price well below what rivals with that kit ask. It is sized for a quarter acre, it cuts no taller than about 2.76 inches, and it comes from a brand that is new to the US, with no service record to judge yet. This is a data-driven review, not a hands-on one: MowScout scores are computed from verified manufacturer and retailer specifications. We have not run this unit ourselves.
### MowScout Score: 75/100 — Best for a small, open, low-cut lawn on a tight budget, if you're comfortable with a new brand The verdict, in three lines: For the money, nothing else we track pairs RTK-plus-vision navigation with 4G GPS tracking and a 3-year mower warranty. Its limits are a quarter-acre rating, a short cut-height range, an app we rate 3/5, and a brand whose US support is unproven. On an open, low-cut lawn it is a remarkable deal; for tall St. Augustine, or for a buyer who wants a long track record, look elsewhere. Reasons to buy / reasons to skip
Reasons to buy
- ✅ RTK plus vision at a budget price. Full-band RTK draws precise, repeatable lines, and visual odometry carries the mower when buildings or trees block the satellites.
- ✅ Network RTK and 4G built in. Where ANTHBOT's network RTK reaches, there is no reference station to install, and the same 4G link gives real-time GPS tracking and remote control.
- ✅ AI obstacle recognition. Two AI cameras trained on more than 1,000 obstacle types.
- ✅ A 3-year mower warranty. Longer than most budget rivals, provided you buy through ANTHBOT's official channels.
Reasons to skip
- ❌ A short cut range. 1.18 to 2.76 inches is too low for St. Augustine or Bahia.
- ❌ A quarter acre, no more. ANTHBOT rates it for 1,000 m² (0.25 acre).
- ❌ A new brand. No US service track record yet, and we rate its app 3 out of 5.
- ❌ Warranty strings attached. Coverage applies only to purchases through ANTHBOT's official sales channels or authorized dealers listed on its website.
The weighted scorecard
The MowScout Score is computed from verified specs across seven weighted pillars (see how we score). Here is where the M9's points come from, as of September 2026.
| Pillar | Score | Why it lands here |
|---|---|---|
| Navigation reliability | 25 / 25 | Full marks. RTK satellite positioning fused with vision is the top configuration in our formula, and AI obstacle recognition adds the maximum obstacle boost. |
| Terrain capability | 10 / 20 | A 45% (24°) slope rating is good for a budget mower. ANTHBOT doesn't publish the drivetrain; our data records it as rear-wheel drive, which caps the traction bonus. |
| Coverage & speed | 7 / 15 | A quarter-acre rating. ANTHBOT publishes an hourly rate (up to 150 m² an hour) rather than a daily figure, so the speed component scores neutral. |
| Setup & ease | 13 / 15 | No wire, and no station to install where network RTK reaches. The 3/5 app keeps it off full marks. |
| Cutting quality & edges | 6 / 10 | A 7.9-inch, five-blade disc with a narrow 1.18–2.76-inch range and an "ok" edge rating. |
| Value | 9 / 10 | Among the best capability per dollar in the catalog at the sale price. |
| Reliability & support | 5 / 5 | A 3-year mower warranty and two retail channels. Our formula gives full track-record credit only to long-established mower brands (Husqvarna, WORX, Segway); ANTHBOT gets the same half credit as every other brand, and the total still rounds up to full marks. The formula doesn't separate a brand new to the US from other newer brands, which is why we flag it throughout this review. |
| Total | 75 / 100 | A lot of navigation hardware for the money, held back by size, cut range and an unproven brand. |
Who it's for — and who should skip it
Buy it if your lawn is open and up to about 0.2 acre (leaving headroom under the quarter-acre rating), you keep it low (Bermuda, Zoysia, centipede, or cool-season grass around 2 to 2.5 inches), and you want precise lines and GPS tracking without paying premium prices. You should also be comfortable buying from a new brand, through its official channels so the warranty applies.
Skip it if you keep St. Augustine or Bahia at 3 to 4 inches; your lawn runs much past a fifth of an acre; your lot is heavily shaded (RTK needs sky, and visual odometry only bridges short gaps); or you want a long service track record behind your mower. The configurator checks your slope, area, tree cover and budget against every model we track.
Navigation: RTK, network corrections and a vision backup
The M9 navigates with full-band RTK: satellite positioning sharpened by correction data to hold precise, repeatable lines. It can get those corrections two ways. With network RTK, its built-in 4G module pulls them over the cellular network, and ANTHBOT says there is then no RTK station to install. Where that service doesn't reach, you set up the reference station that comes in the box, on its tripod stake or mounting pole, where it has an open view of the sky.
Two cameras add a second layer. When buildings or trees block the satellite view, the M9 switches to visual odometry, tracking its movement from what the cameras see, and the same cameras run AI obstacle recognition that ANTHBOT says covers more than 1,000 object types. That combination is why the M9 earns full marks for navigation. It is still a sky-first system, though: under heavy canopy a LiDAR mower holds position more reliably. Our guide to RTK vs LiDAR vs vision explains the difference.
Terrain, cutting and capacity
ANTHBOT rates the M9 for a 45% (24°) slope. It doesn't publish the drivetrain; our data records rear-wheel drive, the norm at this size, so treat 45% as a dry-grass ceiling and leave headroom on damp banks.
The M9 cuts with a 7.9-inch (20 cm) five-blade disc, and you set the height in the app from 3 to 7 cm (about 1.18 to 2.76 inches). That low ceiling is the single biggest thing to check before you buy: it suits Bermuda, Zoysia and centipede, but not St. Augustine or Bahia kept at the 3 to 4 inches they need. ANTHBOT markets on-edge mowing, but a single disc with no offset still leaves a trim strip, so we rate its edges "ok".
ANTHBOT rates it for lawns up to 1,000 m² (0.25 acre) and quotes up to 150 m² an hour in a U-shaped path. Our rule of thumb is to buy a rating about 15% above your measured lawn, which puts the M9 at lawns up to roughly a fifth of an acre.
Smart features, rain and noise
- 4G tracking: real-time GPS tracking, remote app control and security alerts over the built-in 4G module, plus
an anti-theft alarm with instant notification.
- Scheduling: the app can schedule up to 20 zones around local sunrise and sunset, and it reads the rain
sensor to reschedule.
- Rain: a rain sensor sends the mower home, and ANTHBOT rates the body IPX6, able to withstand heavy rain or a
wash-down. It is not rated to cut wet grass.
- Noise: ANTHBOT lists 58 dB or less in standard mode. That is a listed spec, not a MowScout measurement.
- Weight: not published on ANTHBOT's US page.
The warranty, read closely
ANTHBOT's warranty statement lists 3 years for M-series mowers, covering parts including the drive-wheel motor and the RTK base station, and 2 years for the battery. The important condition is where you buy: the warranty applies only to purchases through ANTHBOT's official sales channels or the authorized dealers listed on its website. Its where-to-buy page currently points US buyers to its own store and its official Amazon storefront. If an unauthorized marketplace seller is cheaper, that saving may cost you the coverage.
Spec conflicts we found
- Area: ANTHBOT says lawns up to 1,000 m² (0.25 acre); the Amazon listing says 0.3 acre. We use 0.25.
- Zones: ANTHBOT's M9 product page says 20; its comparison page and the Amazon listing say 30. We use 20, from the model's own product page.
- Drivetrain: not published by ANTHBOT. Our data records rear-wheel drive.
How it compares
All of these cost more than the M9 at September 2026 prices.
vs Mammotion YUKA mini 2 (out of stock) (Score 68). LiDAR plus vision with no antenna at all, and the same quarter acre and 45% slope. It suits a shaded lot better, but it scores lower and has half the M9's zone count.
vs ECOVACS GOAT O1000 LiDAR PRO (Score 72). LiDAR that doesn't care about the sky, cleaner edges and a taller 3.15-inch ceiling, from an established brand, with a 2-year warranty.
vs Segway Navimow i110N (Score 67). The same network-RTK-plus-vision idea from a longer-established brand, also with a 3-year warranty, but rated to only a 30% slope.
vs MOVA LiDAX Ultra 1000 (Score 71). LiDAR, up to 150 zones and a 3.93-inch ceiling, the better choice for tall warm-season grass.

FAQ
Does the ANTHBOT M9 need an RTK antenna? Not where ANTHBOT's network RTK reaches: its built-in 4G module pulls corrections over the cellular network. The box includes a reference station for addresses outside that coverage, and that station needs open sky. When satellites are blocked, the M9 switches to visual odometry from its cameras.
How good a value is the ANTHBOT M9? On paper, one of the strongest we track: at its September 2026 sale price it is the least expensive mower in our catalog with RTK-plus-vision navigation and built-in 4G GPS tracking. The catches are a quarter-acre rating, a 2.76-inch cut ceiling, a 3/5 app and an unproven brand.
Is the ANTHBOT M9 warranty really 3 years? On the mower, yes: 3 years, with 2 on the battery. It applies only to purchases through ANTHBOT's official sales channels or authorized dealers listed on its website.
Can the ANTHBOT M9 mow St. Augustine or wet grass? Not well. Its cut tops out around 2.76 inches, too low for St. Augustine or Bahia, and like almost every mower we track it is not rated to cut wet grass; its rain sensor sends it home. See our wet grass guide.

FAQ
Does the ANTHBOT M9 need an RTK antenna?
Not where ANTHBOT's network RTK reaches. The M9 has a built-in 4G module that pulls satellite corrections over the cellular network, and ANTHBOT says that with network RTK there is no need to install any RTK station. The box still includes a reference station, a tripod stake and a mounting pole for addresses outside that coverage, and the station needs an open view of the sky. When buildings or trees block the satellites, the M9 switches to visual odometry from its cameras to hold its position.
How good a value is the ANTHBOT M9?
On paper it is one of the strongest values we track. At its September 2026 sale price it is the least expensive mower in our catalog with RTK-plus-vision navigation and built-in 4G GPS tracking, and its MowScout Score of 75 beats several mowers that cost more. The catches are a quarter-acre rating, a low 2.76-inch cut ceiling, an app we rate 3 out of 5, and a brand with no US service track record yet.
Is the ANTHBOT M9 warranty really 3 years?
On the mower, yes, with a condition. ANTHBOT's warranty statement lists 3 years for M-series mowers, including the drive-wheel motor and the RTK base station, and 2 years for the battery. It applies only to purchases through ANTHBOT's official sales channels or the authorized dealers listed on its website; its where-to-buy page currently points US buyers to ANTHBOT's own store and its official Amazon storefront. A unit from an unauthorized third-party seller may not be covered.
Can the ANTHBOT M9 mow St. Augustine or wet grass?
Neither is a strength. The cut tops out at 7 cm (about 2.76 inches), below the 3 to 4 inches that St. Augustine and Bahia want, so it suits Bermuda, Zoysia and centipede better. In rain, its sensor sends it home and its IPX6 body shrugs off heavy rain, but like almost every mower we track it is not rated to cut wet grass.
Is the ANTHBOT M9 good for slopes?
It is rated for slopes up to 45%, but wet grass, rough terrain, and boundary placement can reduce real-world confidence.
Does the M9 need boundary wire?
No. This model uses wire-free navigation.
Are these hands-on test results?
This launch review is data-driven and spec-verified. MowScout will label hands-on test results separately when owned testing is complete.
