Fit check
What to verify before buying
Segway Navimow i206 AWD is a $999 mower rated for 0.15 acres, 45% slopes, and 20 mapped zones. MowScout has a separate daily coverage figure of 0.37 acres. Treat those as fit limits, not marketing decoration: mowable grass, wet turns, separate zones, and spring growth should all leave enough headroom for the mower to run without repeated rescues.
Navigation is hybrid and drive is AWD. This model avoids a separate antenna requirement, which lowers one common setup hurdle, but dock location, mapping quality, and first-week no-go-zone tuning still matter. AI vision obstacle avoidance is useful around toys, furniture, pets, and landscaping clutter, but it should be treated as a risk reducer rather than a safety guarantee. If your hardest constraint is slope or rough turf, compare the terrain guide; if setup simplicity is the priority, compare similar no-wire picks before choosing by price.
Before checkout, confirm the exact SKU, included dock or base hardware, return window, warranty path, and current price at one of the listed retailers: Navimow, Amazon, Walmart, Acme Tools. Robot mower bundles change quickly, so the retailer page should match this review's capacity, model name, and last-verified source trail.
In the current catalog, this model sits in the mid price tier with 8 other verified mowers nearby. Its rough price-per-rated-acre is $6,660, which is useful when comparing against a larger mower that may look expensive upfront but cheaper per acre. Sunseeker X3 Plus is the closest lower-priced comparison point at $900.
The capacity math is 0.37 acres per day against a 0.15 acres max rating. That matters when the lawn is close to the published limit, because a mower that can only cover the whole yard under ideal conditions has less margin after rain delays, fast spring growth, dull blades, or separated zones. If your measured turf is close to 0.15 acres, compare eufy Robot Lawn Mower E15 for more headroom before buying.
The tags attached to this record are small yards, under $1000, compact slopes, no boundary wire. Use those as a sanity check: if your yard does not match at least two of those tags, the MowScout Score is less important than fit. A high-scoring mower in the wrong category still creates rescue trips, missed strips, and support friction.
Its current MowScout Score is 71, which should be read beside the hard specs rather than treated as a standalone verdict. The strongest reasons to keep this mower on a shortlist are its hybridnavigation, AWD drive, 45% slope rating, and 20zone support. The biggest reason to remove it is any yard fact that directly conflicts with those numbers.
Cutting fit is also specific: this deck is 7.1 inches wide and adjusts from 2 to 3.6 inches. Edge behavior is rated "ok", so expect some trim work around fences, walls, beds, curbs, and tight hardscape. That is normal for robot mowers, but it matters more if your lawn has a lot of border length relative to open grass.
Ownership details point to 3 years of warranty coverage, app quality rated 4out of 5, connectivity through wifi, bt, 4g, 59 dB of listed noise, and 26.56 lb of chassis weight. Those are practical details for storage, night schedules, support expectations, and whether the mower will be easy to lift, clean, or move between areas.
The source trail for this record was last checked on 2026-09-14 and includes Segway Navimow i2 AWD product page (US store), Navimow i2 AWD-series user manual (US, 260109-A), Navimow Limited Warranty Policy, Walmart Segway Navimow i206 AWD listing, Acme Tools Segway Navimow i206 AWD listing, Amazon Segway Navimow i206 AWD listing. Use those sources to resolve any mismatch between this review, a retailer title, and a bundled accessory listing. If the source page changes the area rating, slope rating, included hardware, or warranty terms, update the shortlist before clicking through. Keep a screenshot of the retailer specs for returns.
Score breakdown
The Segway Navimow i206 AWD has the smallest rated area of any all-wheel-drive mower we track, and when we checked in September 2026 it was the only all-wheel-drive mower in our catalog under \$1,000. It shares the i210 AWD's platform: Network RTK fused with vision, no antenna to install where Navimow's coverage reaches, a 45% slope rating that holds right up to the boundary, 4G GPS tracking and a 3-year warranty. The catch is size. Navimow rates it for just 0.15 acre, which gives it one of the highest costs per acre of capacity in our catalog. This is a data-driven review, not a hands-on one: MowScout scores are computed from verified manufacturer and retailer specifications. We have not run this unit ourselves.
### MowScout Score: 71/100 — Best for a tiny, sloped lawn The verdict, in three lines: All-wheel drive, a 45% slope rating at the boundary as well as inside it, top-tier navigation without an antenna in Network RTK areas, and a 3-year warranty from an established brand, in the lowest-capacity all-wheel-drive package we track. It gives up capacity (0.15 acre) and value per acre, and its cut stays between 2 and 3.6 inches. Buy it for a sloped lawn of up to about an eighth of an acre; for anything bigger, the i210 AWD is the better buy. Reasons to buy / reasons to skip
Reasons to buy
- ✅ All-wheel drive on a small budget. Off-road wheels and AWD to a 45% (24°) slope, and Navimow rates the boundary to 45% too.
- ✅ Top-tier navigation. Tri-frequency Network RTK fused with vision, with VisionFence AI obstacle avoidance that Navimow says recognizes more than 150 obstacle types.
- ✅ No antenna where Network RTK reaches. Corrections come over the built-in 4G connection, which Navimow includes at no extra cost.
- ✅ 4G tracking and a 3-year warranty. Real-time GPS tracking and anti-theft alerts, from one of the longest-established brands we track.
Reasons to skip
- ❌ A tiny rating. 0.15 acre, or up to 0.18 acre on a simple layout.
- ❌ Poor value per acre. The i210 AWD covers two-thirds more lawn on the same platform for a modest step up in price.
- ❌ A middle-height cut. 2 to 3.6 inches is too high for manicured Bermuda and a little short for St. Augustine at 4 inches.
- ❌ No dedicated edge blade. An edge-mowing pass per zone, with a narrow 7.1-inch cut.
The weighted scorecard
The MowScout Score is computed from verified specs across seven weighted pillars (see how we score). Here is where the i206 AWD's points come from, as of September 2026.
| Pillar | Score | Why it lands here |
|---|---|---|
| Navigation reliability | 25 / 25 | Full marks. Network RTK fused with vision is the top configuration in our formula, and AI obstacle recognition adds the maximum obstacle boost. |
| Terrain capability | 13 / 20 | A 45% slope rating on all-wheel drive. The 80%-rated AWD mowers score higher. |
| Coverage & speed | 6 / 15 | The 0.15-acre rating earns the minimum capacity credit, but Navimow publishes a daily mowing area of 0.37 acre, more than twice the rating, which earns full speed credit. |
| Setup & ease | 14 / 15 | No wire, and no antenna where Network RTK reaches. The only point off is the app, which we rate 4 out of 5. |
| Cutting quality & edges | 6 / 10 | A narrow 7.1-inch cut, a 2–3.6-inch range, and an "ok" edge rating: an edge-mowing pass, with no edge blade. |
| Value | 2 / 10 | A 0.15-acre rating at its price makes its cost per acre of capacity one of the highest in our catalog. |
| Reliability & support | 5 / 5 | A 3-year warranty, four retail channels and full track-record credit for Segway. |
| Total | 71 / 100 | Flagship-style navigation and AWD in a tiny package, held back by capacity and value. |
Who it's for — and who should skip it
Buy it if your lawn is small, up to about an eighth of an acre (leaving headroom under the 0.15-acre rating), and has real slope, especially along its edges, and you want all-wheel drive, 4G tracking and a long warranty from an established brand without mounting an antenna. It suits tall fescue, Zoysia, centipede and St. Augustine kept around 3 to 3.5 inches.
Skip it if your lawn is bigger than about an eighth of an acre (the i210 AWD is better value); your banks run past 45%; you keep Bermuda below 2 inches or St. Augustine at 4; or your yard sits under heavy tree cover. The configurator checks your slope, area, tree cover and budget against every model we track.
Navigation: Network RTK fused with vision
The i206 AWD navigates with tri-frequency Network RTK fused with vision. Satellite positioning is sharpened by correction data that arrives over the mower's built-in 4G connection, and Navimow says the vision fusion keeps positioning stable even in tight, cluttered or obstructed areas. Where Navimow's Network RTK reaches, there's no local antenna to install; Navimow includes the Network RTK access and the cellular data at no extra cost, and you can check coverage by postcode on its site. A GNSS antenna and installation kit come in the box for addresses outside that coverage, and the antenna needs a clear view of the sky.
VisionFence handles obstacles; Navimow says it recognizes more than 150 obstacle types. As with any camera system, clear small toys and hoses before a run. Satellite positioning still wants sky at the mower, so under heavy canopy the Navimow i215 LiDAR is the safer choice. Our guide to RTK vs LiDAR vs vision covers the trade in full.
Terrain, cutting and capacity
Navimow's US manual rates the i206 AWD for 45% (24°) both inside the working area and at the boundary, on all-wheel drive with off-road wheels. The boundary figure is the unusual part: some small mowers are rated far lower where the boundary runs, such as the i215 LiDAR at 25%. Treat 45% as a dry-grass ceiling, and see our hills guide for how to measure your grade.
The mower cuts a 7.1-inch swath, with the height adjustable from 2 to 3.6 inches. That covers tall fescue, Zoysia, centipede and St. Augustine at 3 to 3.5 inches, but not Bermuda kept below 2 inches or St. Augustine at 4. Edges come from an edge-mowing pass you can switch on for each zone; with no dedicated edge blade, we rate them "ok", and you'll still trim along walls.
Navimow designs the i206 AWD for lawns up to 0.15 acre and says it may handle up to 0.18 acre on a simple layout. Our rule of thumb is to buy a rating about 15% above your measured lawn, which puts it at lawns up to about an eighth of an acre. It won't struggle to keep up: Navimow lists a daily mowing area of 0.37 acre in 24 hours, with a 60-minute charge per cycle.
Smart features, rain and noise
- 4G tracking: a built-in 4G module for remote app control, out-of-boundary alerts and real-time GPS tracking.
The app connects over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G.
- Anti-theft: alerts you instantly if the mower is moved or lifted.
- Zones: up to 20 mowing zones.
- Rain: the mower detects rain, frost, snow, strong wind or heat and returns to charge. Navimow's manual
recommends mowing in dry weather, because in rain grass can stick to the mower and it may slip, and says not to mow in heavy rain, thunderstorms or snow. The mower body and charging station are rated IP66, and the power adapter IP67.
- Noise: the manual lists a sound power level of 59 dB(A), the figure Navimow advertises, and a sound pressure
level of 51 dB(A). Both are listed specs, not MowScout measurements.
- Weight: 26.56 lb with the battery.
Warranty and buying notes
Navimow's limited warranty covers the i206 AWD for 3 years and its battery pack and power adapters for 2 years. Segway Navimow has one of the longest US track records among the robot mower brands we cover.
On Amazon, the listing we link is sold by Navimow's own storefront, and it groups several i-series variants, including a garage bundle and the i210 AWD; our link goes to the i206 AWD. Walmart also sells it, through Segway Navimow's own seller account, and Acme Tools lists it.
Spec notes
- Area: Navimow designs it for 0.15 acre and says it may support up to 0.18 acre on a simple layout. We use
0.15.
- Daily coverage: Navimow's 0.37 acre in 24 hours is a capacity figure, more than twice the lawn rating, not a
bigger lawn limit. It is why the i206 earns full speed credit.
- Drivetrain: all-wheel drive, stated by Navimow.
How it compares
vs Navimow i210 AWD (Score 74). The same all-wheel-drive i2 platform, slope rating, cut range, zones, tracking and warranty, rated for 0.25 acre instead of 0.15, for more money. For any lawn past about an eighth of an acre, it is the one to buy.
vs Navimow i105N (Score 64). Less money for an even smaller 0.13-acre rating, with Network RTK plus vision but rear-wheel drive to only 30%. It cuts lower, from 1.2 to 2.4 inches, so it suits a flat Bermuda lawn the i206 can't manicure.
vs ANTHBOT M9 (Score 75). Less money on sale, with network RTK and vision over 4G, a quarter-acre rating and a 3-year mower warranty. It is rated to 45% on rear-wheel drive, tops out at a 2.76-inch cut and comes from a brand new to the US. The i206 has all-wheel drive, a taller cut and the longer track record.
vs LUBA mini 2 AWD (Score 79). Antenna-free LiDAR, all-wheel drive to 80%, 0.37 acre and a 4-inch ceiling, for a good deal more money. The pick for a genuinely steep or shaded small yard.

FAQ
Does the Navimow i206 AWD need an antenna? Not where Navimow's Network RTK reaches; corrections come over its built-in 4G. A GNSS antenna comes in the box for addresses outside coverage, and it needs a clear view of the sky. Under heavy canopy, a LiDAR mower is safer.
Should I buy the i206 AWD or the i210 AWD? Same platform, different size: 0.15 acre versus 0.25. For a lawn bigger than about an eighth of an acre, buy the i210.
What slopes can the Navimow i206 AWD handle? 45% (24°) inside the working area and at the boundary, on all-wheel drive. Treat that as a dry-grass ceiling; see our hills ranking for steeper ground.
Can the Navimow i206 AWD mow wet grass? It isn't meant to: Navimow recommends dry weather, and the mower returns to charge when it detects rain. See our wet grass guide.

Buyer questions
FAQ
Does the Navimow i206 AWD need an antenna?
Not where Navimow's Network RTK reaches. The i206 AWD pulls satellite corrections over its built-in 4G connection, and Navimow says that where Network RTK coverage is available there's no need to install a local antenna; you can check coverage by postcode on Navimow's site. A GNSS antenna and installation kit come in the box for addresses outside coverage, and that antenna needs a clear view of the sky. Navimow fuses the satellite positioning with vision to hold position in tight or cluttered spots, but under heavy tree canopy a LiDAR mower is still the safer choice.
Should I buy the i206 AWD or the i210 AWD?
It comes down to lawn size. The two share the same all-wheel-drive i2 platform, the 45% slope rating, the 2-to-3.6-inch cut, 20 zones, 4G tracking and a 3-year warranty. The i206 AWD is rated for 0.15 acre and the i210 AWD for 0.25 acre. If your lawn is bigger than about an eighth of an acre, the i210 is the one to buy, and it scores higher because its extra capacity costs relatively little.
What slopes can the Navimow i206 AWD handle?
Navimow's US manual rates it for 45% (24°) both inside the working area and at the boundary, on all-wheel drive with off-road wheels. That boundary figure matters: some small mowers are rated much lower where the boundary runs. Treat 45% as a dry-grass ceiling, and for banks steeper than that, look at an 80%-rated all-wheel-drive mower.
Can the Navimow i206 AWD mow wet grass?
It isn't meant to. Navimow's manual recommends mowing in dry weather, because in rain grass can stick to the mower and it may slip, and it says not to mow in heavy rain, thunderstorms or snow. The mower detects rain, frost, snow, strong wind or heat and returns to charge, and its body and charging station are rated IP66, so it survives the weather even when it shouldn't mow in it.
Is the Segway Navimow i206 AWD good for slopes?
It is rated for slopes up to 45%, but wet grass, rough terrain, and boundary placement can reduce real-world confidence.
Does the i206 AWD need boundary wire?
No. This model uses wire-free navigation.
Are these hands-on test results?
