Fit check
What to verify before buying
ECOVACS GOAT O1000 RTK is a $1,000 mower rated for 0.25 acres, 45% slopes, and 1 mapped zones. MowScout does not yet have a separate source-verified daily coverage figure for this model. Treat those as fit limits, not marketing decoration: mowable grass, wet turns, separate zones, and spring growth should all leave enough headroom for the mower to run without repeated rescues.
Navigation is hybrid and drive is RWD. This model needs careful antenna or base-station placement, so buyers should plan for open sky, clean power, and a dock location that does not force the mower through a weak-signal corridor every day. AI vision obstacle avoidance is useful around toys, furniture, pets, and landscaping clutter, but it should be treated as a risk reducer rather than a safety guarantee. If your hardest constraint is slope or rough turf, compare the terrain guide; if setup simplicity is the priority, compare similar no-wire picks before choosing by price.
Before checkout, confirm the exact SKU, included dock or base hardware, return window, warranty path, and current price at one of the listed retailers: ECOVACS, Amazon. Robot mower bundles change quickly, so the retailer page should match this review's capacity, model name, and last-verified source trail.
In the current catalog, this model sits in the mid price tier with 8 other verified mowers nearby. Its rough price-per-rated-acre is $4,000, which is useful when comparing against a larger mower that may look expensive upfront but cheaper per acre. ECOVACS GOAT O1000 LiDAR PRO is the closest lower-priced comparison point at $999.
The capacity math is pending source verification beyond its 0.25 acres max-area rating. That matters when the lawn is close to the published limit, because a mower that can only cover the whole yard under ideal conditions has less margin after rain delays, fast spring growth, dull blades, or separated zones. If your measured turf is close to 0.25 acres, compare eufy Robot Lawn Mower E18 for more headroom before buying.
The tags attached to this record are small yards, open sky, edges, under $1000. Use those as a sanity check: if your yard does not match at least two of those tags, the MowScout Score is less important than fit. A high-scoring mower in the wrong category still creates rescue trips, missed strips, and support friction.
Its current MowScout Score is 71, which should be read beside the hard specs rather than treated as a standalone verdict. The strongest reasons to keep this mower on a shortlist are its hybridnavigation, RWD drive, 45% slope rating, and 1zone support. The biggest reason to remove it is any yard fact that directly conflicts with those numbers.
Cutting fit is also specific: this deck is 8.66 inches wide and adjusts from 1.2 to 3.2 inches. Edge behavior is rated "good", so expect some trim work around fences, walls, beds, curbs, and tight hardscape. That is normal for robot mowers, but it matters more if your lawn has a lot of border length relative to open grass.
Ownership details point to 2 years of warranty coverage, app quality rated 4out of 5, connectivity through wifi, 57 dB of listed noise, and 24.25 lb of chassis weight. Those are practical details for storage, night schedules, support expectations, and whether the mower will be easy to lift, clean, or move between areas.
The source trail for this record was last checked on 2026-09-13 and includes ECOVACS GOAT O1000 RTK product page (US), ECOVACS GOAT O1000 RTK Care Kit page (US), ECOVACS US blog: How long do robot lawn mowers last (GOAT 2-year warranty), Amazon ECOVACS GOAT O1000 RTK listing. Use those sources to resolve any mismatch between this review, a retailer title, and a bundled accessory listing. If the source page changes the area rating, slope rating, included hardware, or warranty terms, update the shortlist before clicking through. Keep a screenshot of the retailer specs for returns.
Score breakdown
The ECOVACS GOAT O1000 RTK is the satellite-guided twin of the O1000 LiDAR PRO. It shares that mower's quarter-acre rating, 45% slope rating, TruEdge edge mowing and AIVI 3D obstacle avoidance, but it positions itself with RTK from a reference station you install in the yard instead of a LiDAR scanner. That makes it an open-lawn mower: on a lot with a clear view of the sky and little around it, RTK is on home ground, while under trees the LiDAR PRO is the safer buy, and in September 2026 the two cost about the same. This is a data-driven review, not a hands-on one: MowScout scores are computed from verified manufacturer and retailer specifications. We have not run this unit ourselves.
### MowScout Score: 71/100 — Best for a small, open lawn with a clear view of the sky The verdict, in three lines: A quiet quarter-acre mower with top-tier navigation hardware, clean edges and a cut that reaches 3.2 inches. The catch is its reference station: it needs open sky, it costs setup points, and the antenna-free O1000 LiDAR PRO cost about the same when we checked. Buy the RTK for a wide-open lot with little nearby for LiDAR to see; for most other small yards, buy the LiDAR PRO. Price: \$999.99 at ECOVACS's US store (regular price, no sale), verified September 13, 2026 — check the current price on Amazon. → Find the mower that fits your yard

Reasons to buy / reasons to skip
Reasons to buy
- ✅ Top-tier navigation hardware. RTK satellite positioning plus a camera and a 3D time-of-flight sensor, with AIVI 3D obstacle avoidance that ECOVACS says handles more than 200 kinds of obstacle.
- ✅ Clean edges. TruEdge edge mowing rides up onto passable edges for a cut right to the border.
- ✅ A useful cut range. 1.2 to 3.2 inches, set in half-centimeter steps.
- ✅ Quiet and weatherproof. A listed 57 dBA, and IPX6 on the mower, the charging station and the RTK antenna.
Reasons to skip
- ❌ A station to install. The RTK reference station has to go where it sees open sky.
- ❌ Its own sibling. The O1000 LiDAR PRO needs no station, copes better with trees, and cost about the same in September 2026.
- ❌ A quarter acre at most. ECOVACS's own page also gives 8,600 square feet, about a fifth of an acre.
- ❌ Thin on published details. ECOVACS's US page lists no drivetrain, zone count, anti-theft feature or radio specs, and the manual it links is for different models.
The weighted scorecard
The MowScout Score is computed from verified specs across seven weighted pillars (see how we score). Here is where the O1000 RTK's points come from, as of September 2026.
| Pillar | Score | Why it lands here |
|---|---|---|
| Navigation reliability | 25 / 25 | Full marks. RTK fused with a camera and a 3D ToF sensor is the top configuration in our formula, and AI obstacle recognition adds the maximum obstacle boost. |
| Terrain capability | 10 / 20 | A 45% slope rating in the work area is good for the size. ECOVACS doesn't publish the drivetrain; our data records rear-wheel drive, which caps the traction bonus. |
| Coverage & speed | 5 / 15 | A quarter-acre rating. ECOVACS publishes hourly mowing rates rather than a daily figure, so the speed component scores neutral. |
| Setup & ease | 12 / 15 | No wire, but the reference station must be installed with open sky, which costs two points against antenna-free rivals such as its LiDAR PRO sibling. The ECOVACS app, which we rate 4 out of 5, is mature. |
| Cutting quality & edges | 9 / 10 | TruEdge edge mowing earns our "good" edge rating, and the 1.2–3.2-inch range earns full height credit. The narrow 8.66-inch cut costs the last point. |
| Value | 6 / 10 | No discount at ECOVACS's store when we checked, and a quarter-acre rating makes its cost per acre of capacity middling. |
| Reliability & support | 4 / 5 | A 2-year warranty per ECOVACS's GOAT copy and two retail channels. Our formula gives full track-record credit only to long-established mower brands (Husqvarna, WORX, Segway), so ECOVACS gets half. |
| Total | 71 / 100 | Excellent navigation and cutting hardware, held back by size, a station to install and a middling price. |
Who it's for — and who should skip it
Buy it if your lawn is open to the sky and up to about a fifth of an acre, especially a lot with few walls, fences or trees nearby, where a LiDAR mower would have little to reference. It also suits you if you want clean edges and a cut up to 3.2 inches, and you don't mind installing a reference station once.
Skip it if trees or buildings shade much of your lawn; you want nothing to install; your lawn runs past a fifth of an acre; you want GPS theft tracking; or the O1000 LiDAR PRO is on sale for similar money and your yard has structure around it. The configurator checks your slope, area, tree cover and budget against every model we track.
Navigation: RTK with a station, plus a camera and 3D ToF
The O1000 RTK positions itself with RTK: satellite positioning sharpened by correction data from a reference station you install in the yard. The station comes in the box with a 10-meter (33-foot) power cable, two mounting poles and a ground nail, and it needs an open view of the sky. ECOVACS lists the navigation as RTK plus camera plus 3D ToF, and brands it "LiDAR-Enhanced RTK Navigation". The camera and the 3D time-of-flight sensor run the AIVI 3D obstacle avoidance, but positioning still depends on the satellites and the station, so this is an open-sky system.
That is the real difference from its LiDAR sibling. A LiDAR mower positions itself against the objects around it, such as walls, fences and trees, so a wide-open lot with little nearby is its weakest case (our GOAT problems guide explains why). That same open lot is where RTK works best. Trees and tall buildings are the opposite: they block the satellites, and there the LiDAR PRO is the safer choice. Our guide to RTK vs LiDAR vs vision covers the trade in full.
Terrain, cutting and capacity
ECOVACS gives two slope figures: up to 45% inside the work area, but only 17% along a virtual boundary. In practice, draw the edges of your map on gentle ground and let the mower climb inside them. ECOVACS doesn't publish the drivetrain; our data records rear-wheel drive, so treat 45% as a dry-grass ceiling.
The mower cuts an 8.66-inch swath, and you set the height from 3 to 8 cm (about 1.2 to 3.2 inches) in 0.5 cm steps. That range covers Bermuda, Zoysia, centipede and cool-season lawns, and it reaches the bottom of the 3-to-4-inch range St. Augustine wants. TruEdge edge mowing rides up onto passable edges for a cut right to the border, which is why we rate its edges "good"; you'll still trim along walls and fences.
On capacity, ECOVACS's page says 1/4 acre in one place and 8,600 square feet (about 0.2 acre) in another. Our rule of thumb is to leave about 15% headroom under a rating, which puts a quarter-acre mower at about 9,500 square feet, so plan on 8,600 either way. ECOVACS lists about 1,507 square feet an hour in Delicate mode and 1,938 in Efficient mode, so a full 8,600-square-foot lawn takes roughly four and a half hours of cutting in Efficient mode, or close to six in Delicate, before charging stops.
Smart features, rain and noise
- App: the ECOVACS app, which we rate 4 out of 5. Wi-Fi is the only connectivity ECOVACS's US page lists, so there
is no 4G link and no GPS tracking, and the page lists no anti-theft feature.
- Zones: ECOVACS advertises multiple-zone management with customizable mowing, but publishes no zone count, so
our data counts it as one zone until it does.
- Rain: ECOVACS's support site asks owners to mow when the lawn is dry, because wet grass can trap the mower, and
suggests turning on the rain sensor and setting a delay. The mower, charging station and RTK antenna are rated IPX6, which is about surviving rain, not cutting in it.
- Noise: ECOVACS lists 57 dBA. That is a listed spec, not a MowScout measurement.
- Weight: 24.25 lb.
Warranty and buying notes
ECOVACS's GOAT copy promises a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects and functional issues. Its general US warranty terms say 12 months, and they exclude products not bought from ECOVACS or its dealers, so buy from ECOVACS or an authorized seller, keep your receipt, and confirm the term for your unit when you buy.
Check the option name, too. ECOVACS's own store separates the bare O1000 RTK from an "O1000 RTK Care Kit" (45 spare blades and screws) and an "O1000 RTK Care Kit & Acc" bundle that also adds a wall mount; the bigger bundle was oddly priced below the bare mower when we checked, so confirm which option you've selected. Our Amazon link goes to the bare mower (MPN GO1000R), a listing with no care-kit variant that Amazon.com itself was selling when we checked on September 13, 2026.
Spec conflicts we found
- Area: ECOVACS's page says both 1/4 acre and 8,600 square feet (0.2 acre). We use 0.25 for the Score and suggest
planning on 8,600.
- Warranty: the GOAT copy says 2 years; ECOVACS's general US terms say 12 months. We use 2.
- Manual: the manual linked from the US product page covers the O800 and O1200 RTK, with a European-band RTK radio,
so we take no specs from it.
- Unpublished: the drivetrain, zone count and anti-theft features. Our data records rear-wheel drive, one zone and
no anti-theft until ECOVACS publishes them.
How it compares
vs ECOVACS GOAT O1000 LiDAR PRO (Score 72). The same size, slope rating, edges and obstacle avoidance, with LiDAR instead of RTK: no station to install, and it copes better with trees. On sale in September 2026, it cost about the same. Pick the RTK only for a wide-open lot where LiDAR would have little to reference.
vs ANTHBOT M9 (Score 75). Also RTK plus vision, but with network RTK over built-in 4G, so there's no station to install where that coverage reaches, plus GPS tracking and a 3-year mower warranty, and it cost less in September 2026. Its cut tops out at 2.76 inches, and ANTHBOT is new to the US.
vs MOVA LiDAX Ultra 1000 (Score 71). LiDAR with no antenna, up to 150 zones, a 3.93-inch cut ceiling for tall warm-season grass and a 3-year warranty, at a similar price.
vs Segway Navimow i110N (Score 67). Network RTK plus vision with no station required where Segway's network RTK reaches, and a 3-year warranty, but rated for only a 30% slope and a 2.4-inch cut, and it cost a little more.

FAQ
Does the ECOVACS GOAT O1000 RTK need an antenna? Yes. It positions itself with RTK corrections from a reference station that comes in the box, and the station needs open sky. If trees or buildings shade much of your yard, the O1000 LiDAR PRO, which needs no station, is the safer choice.
Should I buy the O1000 RTK or the O1000 LiDAR PRO? For most yards, the LiDAR PRO: the same size, slope rating, edges and obstacle avoidance, no station, better with trees, and about the same price in September 2026. The RTK fits a wide-open lawn with little nearby for LiDAR to reference.
How big a lawn can the GOAT O1000 RTK handle? ECOVACS says both 1/4 acre and 8,600 square feet. Plan on 8,600, about a fifth of an acre, which takes roughly four and a half to six hours of cutting at ECOVACS's listed rates.
Can the GOAT O1000 RTK mow wet grass or St. Augustine? Wet grass, no: ECOVACS asks owners to mow when the lawn is dry, and its rain sensor can delay a run. St. Augustine only at the low end, since the cut tops out at 3.2 inches. See our wet grass guide.

Buyer questions
FAQ
Does the ECOVACS GOAT O1000 RTK need an antenna?
Yes. It positions itself with RTK corrections from a reference station that comes in the box, with a 10-meter (33-foot) power cable, two mounting poles and a ground nail. The station needs an open view of the sky, so this is a mower for open lawns. If trees or buildings shade much of your yard, the O1000 LiDAR PRO, which needs no station, is the safer choice.
Should I buy the O1000 RTK or the O1000 LiDAR PRO?
For most yards, the LiDAR PRO. The two share the quarter-acre rating, the 45% slope rating, TruEdge edge mowing and AIVI 3D obstacle avoidance, and in September 2026 they cost about the same because the LiDAR PRO was on sale. The LiDAR PRO needs no station, copes better with trees and scores a point higher. The RTK version fits a wide-open lawn with little nearby for LiDAR to reference, as long as its station has clear sky.
How big a lawn can the GOAT O1000 RTK handle?
ECOVACS's product page gives two figures: 1/4 acre in one place and 8,600 square feet (about a fifth of an acre) in another. Plan on the smaller one, which also matches our rule of leaving about 15% headroom under a mower's rating. ECOVACS lists mowing rates of about 1,500 to 1,940 square feet an hour, so a full 8,600-square-foot lawn takes roughly four and a half to six hours of cutting.
Can the GOAT O1000 RTK mow wet grass or St. Augustine?
Wet grass, no. ECOVACS's support site asks owners to mow when the lawn is dry, because wet grass can trap the mower, and suggests turning on the rain sensor and setting a delay. Its IPX6 rating is about surviving rain, not cutting in it. St. Augustine, only at the low end: the cut reaches 3.2 inches, the bottom of the 3-to-4-inch range St. Augustine wants.
Is the ECOVACS GOAT O1000 RTK good for slopes?
It is rated for slopes up to 45%, but wet grass, rough terrain, and boundary placement can reduce real-world confidence.
Does the GOAT O1000 RTK need boundary wire?
No. This model uses wire-free navigation.
Are these hands-on test results?
